Humongous camping sites. Great staff doing a great job! I wanted to give this park only 1 star so it would stay as quiet and beautiful as it is now. I wish I could live here year round. Thanks Texas for your amazing state parks!
Stayed 3 nights and loved it all. The fishing at the pier was great, using minnows the kids all caught some crappie and a few bass. The playground was fun for the younger kids and a nice swimming area with a dock for them to swim out to and jump in from. Clean, fun and great people working there.

Great little State Park to visit! The camping sites are very spacious. We visited on a very busy weekend, and all of the electric hook up sites were full. The park is very spread out with a great day use area! There is a nice playground and a neat swimming area. The trails are great for hiking or mountain biking, and I think you can get in about 5 miles of trails. My only complaint was that the state police guy that was patrolling at night had the "I have a badge and a gun" attitude. There were very strict about the Quiet hours and the Day use tags on vehicles. They kicked out a kid that was visiting his parents at the site beside us, while they were eating dinner at 10:15pm. Maybe it was due to the busy-ness of the weekend but his rudeness was uncalled for. Other than that, it is a great park, with great amenities and lots to do!
