Good fish. Good shrimp. Very accommodating for large groups/families. Staff are outstanding and friendly. Wait time for more fish is short. Lots and lots of condiments. Free hush puppies. Fresh onions. Free beans. Relish on table. Amazing experience good view in day time. Great easy parking. It is a little out of the way, but very worth it
Love the catfish, oysters, shrimp and most especially the beans. Julie was a great server for our table of nine. The manager always comes by to hi. If you are anywhere near Mt. Vernon, you must go!
The fish is always cooked to perfection. If you love catfish, and I mean big meaty pieces of catfish, try the uncut filets, they are my favorite. The fries are fresh cut and delicious also. My wife likes the chicken fried steak, and I've heard the steaks are really good too.
Had a hankering for catfish for several days and was completely satisfied with the catfish fillets and fried shrimp. Crispy and very tasty. Beans, slaw and hush puppies finished the meal perfectly. Very friendly staff and wait help was only topped by the beautiful sunset over Lake Bob Sandlin.
Four of us stopped in for All-you-can-eat Catfish. It was good. The beans, slaw and hush puppies were also bottomless and very good. It wasn't very busy when we visited so there was ample seating and very little noise.
